How an Irish company rolls out the safety training the law requires to a whole team online: which course each role needs, the order to assign them, how the records build themselves and how the HSA inspector reads the result.
Safety training in Ireland is a duty on the employer, and for a company with twenty, two hundred or two thousand staff the hard part is not the law but the logistics: who needs which course, in what order, how to get them done without closing a shift and how to prove it afterwards. This page is the rollout plan, written for the person who has been told to "get everyone trained": the duty in one paragraph, the courses per role, the sequence, the online mechanics and the record, with every accredited course on the platform below.

Straight answers about the health & safety induction for employees for Ireland learners: local acceptance, online delivery, certification and pricing at Online Safety Courses.
An induction for every employee at recruitment under Section 10 of the 2005 Act, then the courses the regulations attach to the hazards of each role: manual handling for anyone who lifts, fire safety for everyone in a building with an evacuation plan, DSE for office staff, HACCP for food handlers, patient handling in care, heights and COSHH on site, and risk assessment and the managers' course for supervisors.
About an hour per course per person, done on their own devices in their own time slots, so a team of fifty completes the induction within a week and the full role set within a month without closing a shift.
As a matrix of every employee against every course with the date, the certificate code and the renewal date. A company account produces that record automatically from completions, and the safety statement references it.
Yes. They are employees under the 2005 Act, and the company using agency workers carries the training duty for them while they are on its premises.
That the safety statement names the training arrangements, that the record shows every employee holds the induction and the hazard courses for their role in date, that the certificates can be verified, and that what people do on the floor matches the training they received.
The health & safety induction for employees runs beautifully on PC, laptop, tablet and smartphone, wherever in Ireland your team happens to be. A clean, comfortable platform designed for smooth learning. Learners in Ireland study from home, from work or on the move, with no classroom visit needed anywhere across every county in Ireland.

Instead of losing a day to a classroom, learners in Ireland complete the full accredited training online, in about 1-2 hours, from home or straight from the workplace.
Local employers know exactly what they are looking at when your certificate arrives: CPD Certified, RoSPA approved, HSA aligned training from a provider used by businesses across every county in Ireland. The unique verification code on every certificate makes checks instant, whether you work in Dublin, Cork or Galway.
For businesses, the free Employer Dashboard turns a team rollout into one afternoon of work: bulk registration, live progress and every health and safety certificate in one clean screen, with automatic volume discounts applied at checkout.
This workplace safety course was designed for real staff schedules. Every lesson streams on any device, every pause saves the place, and nothing needs installing. HD video, animation and interactive questions turn hazards, risk assessment and emergency response into knowledge people keep.
The syllabus tracks exactly what the HSA expects from general employee training: legal duties, hazard identification and reporting, risk assessment basics, fire safety, manual handling awareness, ergonomics and welfare. Scenarios span Irish offices, shops, sites and factories.
Whether you are onboarding one new starter or refreshing an entire company, the employee safety training flows without friction from registration to certificate.
Classroom safety inductions for a whole workforce cost serious money: venues, trainers, cover and lost days, repeated for every intake. The online employee safety course removes all of it. Staff certify from their desks or homes, starting the moment you enrol them.
Managers see each completion in real time and can hand auditors a complete company training record in seconds. Stack the automatic volume discounts on top and this becomes the most economical accredited employee safety training available in Ireland.
Pricing is honest: one figure covers the full course, unlimited retakes and the instant health and safety certificate. No add ons, ever.
Nobody learns well against a stopwatch. The self-paced workplace safety course lets each employee move at whatever speed suits, pausing on any device and resuming exactly where they left off. Shift workers, field staff and office teams all finish comfortably.
A clear progress tracker shows how much of the employee safety training remains and how close the certificate is. Some finish in one focused sitting of about 1-2 hours; others take a few short sessions. Both work perfectly.
Assign it company wide and staff will slot it around real work without disruption, one of the main reasons Irish employers return to Online Safety Courses year after year.
There is no waiting around. Each pass generates a digital health and safety certificate on the spot, aligned with Irish legislation and recognised across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Certificates live permanently in each account for re-download during audits and inspections, and unique verification codes let any inspector confirm them instantly.
For the business, that means a complete, verifiable training record for every single person on the payroll, ready the moment the HSA asks.
Every module comes from licensed, Chartered (CMIOSH) health and safety consultants holding NFQ Level 6 and QQI Level 6 qualifications, people who train real Irish workforces for a living.
That experience shows: staff learn to spot the hazards they walk past daily, understand why risk assessments exist, know their sixty second fire response and protect their backs when lifting. Real Irish scenarios make every lesson stick.
Content is re-reviewed against current legislation and HSA guidance, so the workplace safety course never drifts out of date.
The platform never closes. Night crews certify at 3am, weekend staff on Sunday morning and office teams over lunch, all with exactly the same premium experience.
Progress syncs across every device automatically, so switching from phone to laptop mid module is seamless.
Employees can also revisit modules anytime, so a quick refresher on fire response or hazard reporting is always one tap away, turning the course into a living resource for the whole organisation.
Online Safety Courses has certified more than 749,500 learners across Ireland, the UK and Europe, with a 98% pass rate and a 4.9 star average from verified Google reviews we cannot edit or hide.
From Dublin to Cork, Galway to Limerick and Waterford to Belfast, our employee safety training builds companies where safety is normal rather than an event.
Employers come back because it simply works: clean records, instant certificates and a support team that answers.
Every person on every Irish payroll, because the 2005 Act requires training at induction, on role changes and at regular intervals for all employees. This is the one course that covers the entire organisation.
In practice, businesses run it as the universal baseline: new starters complete it during induction, existing staff refresh on a rolling cycle, and role specific courses like Manual Handling, Working at Heights or HACCP sit on top for those who need them.
That layered structure is exactly what HSA inspectors want to see, and our Employer Dashboard makes it effortless to manage. Our Irish support team can help design the right training matrix for your company.
How an Irish company rolls out the safety training the law requires to a whole team online: which course each role needs, the order to assign them, how the records build themselves and how the HSA inspector reads the result.
Section 10 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 requires every employer to train every employee at recruitment, on a change of task, when new equipment or systems arrive and periodically, in paid working time and in a form the employee understands. The General Application Regulations 2007 and a handful of other instruments name the courses for specific hazards. The HSA inspects the safety statement, the training record and the certificates behind it; the training requirements guide lists every duty and its timing.
| Role | Day one | First month |
|---|---|---|
| Every employee | Health and Safety Induction, Fire Safety | Slips, Trips and Falls |
| Anyone who lifts or moves loads | Manual Handling | Warehouse Safety where relevant |
| Office and remote staff | Display Screen Equipment | Office Safety, Lone Worker |
| Kitchen and food staff | HACCP Level 1 and 2 | Food Allergen Awareness |
| Care and healthcare staff | Patient Handling | Infection Prevention and Control, Emergency First Aid |
| Site and trades | Working at Heights, PPE | COSHH, Asbestos Awareness, Abrasive Wheels |
| Nominated wardens and first aiders | Fire Warden | Fire Extinguisher, Emergency First Aid |
| Supervisors and managers | Everything their team holds | Risk Assessment, Health and Safety for Managers |
Week one: create the company account, load the staff list, assign the day one courses to everyone and the role courses to each group, and send the links; most teams complete the induction within the week because it takes an hour on a phone. Week two: chase the stragglers from the completion view, not by email, and assign the first month courses. Week three and four: supervisors and managers complete risk assessment and the managers' course and sign off the physical skills on the floor, the lifting technique with the site's own equipment, the building's own drill. By the end of the month every certificate is in one place and the record is complete.
Every completion becomes a line in the company's record: name, course, date, certificate code, renewal date. That is the training matrix an HSA inspector asks for and the training records guide describes; the difference is that nobody typed it. Renewals, three years for awareness courses and two for first aid, are flagged before they fall due, and a new starter added to the account is assigned the same set as the role.
The safety statement first, to see that it names the training arrangements; then the matrix, to see that every employee has the induction and the courses for their hazards in date; then a certificate or two verified online; then the floor, to see whether what the paper says is what the people do. A company that ran the rollout above passes all four in the first hour of the visit.
Section 10 trains everyone; the regulations decide which course each role needs on top of the induction.
Day one courses in week one, role courses by week two, supervisors and sign offs by week four.
Every completion is a line in the matrix the HSA asks for, with the certificate code beside it.
Assign the courses below to your team from one account; each takes about an hour online and issues a CPD certified certificate the moment it is passed. The Health and Safety Course is day one for everyone.
